Each facial filler is a gel made of hyaluronic acid – a substance that occurs naturally within the body. Juvéderm® is smoother than most hyaluronic acid dermal filler gels and therefore easier to inject and integrate fully just beneath the surface of the skin. The hyaluronic acid within the gel absorbs moisture which helps to keep the skin hydrated.

Juvéderm® Voluma is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler (a substance that occurs naturally within the body). It has been specifically developed to instantly add volume to the cheek area, giving your skin a firm youthful appearance. Its effects can last up to 18 months.
What can Juvéderm® VOLUMA® be used for?
The Juvéderm® filler range consists of Juvéderm® Vycross® filler. These perform slightly different tasks but can be used in combination with one another.
Juvéderm® VOLUMA® is used for lifting – by gently restoring lost volume to cheeks, cheekbones and chin by replenishing lost skin volume to regain a youthful curve to the cheeks and make the face appear rounder, fuller and more youthful for a natural look and feel.

Juvéderm® VOLIFT® is used for revitalising – by reducing or smoothing facial lines, wrinkles and folds for a look that’s brighter and fresher. It is an innovation ideal for smoothing the lines from your nose to mouth, known as the nasolabial folds, and for facial contours.
What can Juvéderm® VOLBELLA® be used for?
Juvéderm® VOLBELLA® is used for defining – by subtly reshaping lips and facial contours by adding definition to the mouth and facial outlines. The gel fills in wrinkles and lip lines while the hyaluronic acid attracts and retains essential moisture resulting in a subtle, natural look and feel.
How long does Juvéderm® wrinkle filler last?
Juvéderm® facial fillers mimic the lifting effect of your skin’s natural hyaluronic acid and keep skin hydrated and elastic. Results can last up to a year with Juvéderm® VOLIFT® having an estimated duration of 15 months and Juvéderm® VOLUMA® of up to 18 months.
Juvéderm® fillers are semi-permanent and will break down over time so, to retain the results, we would recommend maintenance treatments. Your medical practitioner will give you all the advice you need.
What’s the difference between Juvéderm® and botulinum toxin?
Both treatments involve injections, but botulinum toxin relaxes muscle movement that results in wrinkles while Juvéderm® facial fillers plump out and helps to smooth wrinkles.
Does Juvéderm® stimulate collagen?
Although Juvéderm® and other dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid to fill out wrinkles, several studies suggest that these fillers also induce the formation of collagen. The result of this stimulation is that skin look fresher and more rested for longer.
