Fractional CO2 Laser

Fractional CO2 Laser

What is Fractional CO2 Laser?

The Fractional CO2 Laser involves removing layers of skin tissue in a fractionated method (columns of skin are removed, leaving the skin surrounding each column intact to aid in healing) to help reduce “age-spots” (also called sun freckles, or liver spots), fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, uneven coloration, skin laxity, textural irregularities, dull tone, and a thinned collagen layer of the face, neck and chest. Xeoul Clinic uses the Fire-Xel system, which is a combination of 3 major functions; skin analysis system, fractional CO2  laser and surgical CO2  laser. The system delivers optimal energy deeply into skin to induce collagen formation and skin regeneration.

Fire-Xel’s skin analysis technology and how does this benefit patients?

The skin analysis system provides most appropriate treatment values for safe and effective treatment as it has option for skin type selection. Our Doctors have the option to choose the closest skin type of patient and it will analyse the moisture of the skin via moisture sensor by touching the handpiece on patient’s skin. Based on the data of patient’s skin type and moisture, adequate treatment value is provided for user’s convenience.

What is Fire-Xel’s surgical mode and how does this benefit patients?

The Fire-Xel surgical mode comprised of Ultra Pulse, Super Pulse and Continuous Wave. Depending on indications, the system also furnished with laser pen for surgery that can be used to easily and precisely remove skin tags, wart, mole, syringoma and many other lesions. It is quick, precise and no stitches are required.

Besides overall dermal rejuvenation and removal of dark spots, what other indications does Fire-Xel offer?

Fire-Xel is also suitable for treating scars especially acne scars, large pores, stretch marks, moles, skin tags, warts, fine lines and wrinkles.

What can patients expect during treatment and are Fire-Xel’s treatments painful or uncomfortable?

Patients tolerate the treatment very well with a little application of topical anaesthetics. Patients only experience slight transient redness and mild swelling for about 1-2days. From 3rd day to 6thday, they may experience some skin peeling which then subside gradually. After that, patients will see that the skin tone brightens and glowing.

How many sessions of Fire-Xel does a patient generally need?

For optimum results, I personally recommend 3-4 sessions spaced about three to four weeks apart.
