This comprehensive 7-hour Botulinum Toxin practical class was conducted on the 10th November 2022 in UCSI University. This botulinum toxin workshop provides doctors with knowledge for botulinum toxin usage in the field of Aesthetic Medicine. Theory of botulinum toxin was discussed during the morning session with hands-on training during the afternoon session, allowing doctors to begin performing Dysport® procedures immediately. All products were provided by PARVUS, a leading company in the practice of science-based aesthetic medicine, specializing in solutions for Asian markets.
Botulinum Toxin A (Botox® or Dysport®) is a pharmaceutical formulation that contains purified proteins to relax muscle. It is initially used to treat various forms of muscle spasm. In more recent years, minute doses are used for cosmetic removal of wrinkles. This is a FDA approved drug and has become one of the most widely done aesthetic treatments worldwide.
