what is SLITE?

A powerful supplement with the combination of the most bioavailable antioxidants for complete protection against skin damages.

Why choose S.LITE™?

  • Highest Source of Flavanol Monomers
S.LITE™’s main active ingredient – Vitis Vinifera (grape seed extract) is exclusively obtained from French Champagne grapes which are carefully selected for their high concentrations of flavanol monomers. These monomers act directly on skin cells to:
    • Promote the enzyme activities of primary antioxidants
    • Control melanin production by reducing the activity of tyrosinase
    • Protect collagen fibres from enzymatic degradation
    • Preserve capillary structure and maintain a good microcirculation
  • Almost Half of the Monomers are Absorbed
Flavanol monomers, i.e. (+)-Catechin and (-)-epicatechin, are flavonoids present in high amounts in grapes, especially in grape seeds.
Contrary to most polyphenols known for their poor bioavailability due to their high molecular weight, monomers of flavanols have been reported
    to be highly bioavailable.
  • Quick absorption
The concentration of flavanol monomers and its conjugated metabolites rises quickly following oral administration.
It was found that (+)-catechin concentration increases significantly in the plasma after consumption. Maximum catechin plasma levels were observed at 1.5 h post-ingestion (Figure 1).
The concentration of (-)-epicatechin also rises quickly following oral administration.
The maximum plasmatic concentration of (-)-epicatechin was seen at 0.8–1.5 h following consumption (whatever the dose), at the small intestine levels (Figure 2)
  • Clinically Proven Effectiveness in Reducing Hypermelanosis
Yamakoshi et al. investigated the lightening effect of oral intake of Vitis Vinifera (Grape seed extract) on 12 Japanese women, aged from 34 to 58 years old. 67mg grape seed extract was orally administered three times a day for a year.
Hyperpigmented lesions and normal appearing skin colour were measured monthly. The melanin index of the hyperpigmented lesions significantly decreased after 6 months of supplementation.
The level of pigmentation even appeared to have approached a normal pigmented skin.
